Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lender

James Wood (Jim) joined Collinsville Savings Society in 2013, as Assistant Vice President and Commercial Portfolio Manager. Jim has been in banking in Connecticut since 1985 and has been primarily involved in commercial lending, credit risk and portfolio management at various financial institutions. Jim is responsible for assessing the risk of the bank's commercial portfolio and helping management establish adequate reserves. Jim also oversees the commercial appraisal process for all three banks currently under the umbrella of the Connecticut Mutual Holding Company.

Prior to joining the Bank, Jim was Assistant Vice President and Commercial Loan Officer at ION Bank and throughout his career worked for a regional bank People's United Bank and headed up the commercial lending department for the Community Economic Development Fund. Jim has been a resident of Wallingford, CT since 1995 and the central Connecticut area for his entire life. Jim has always been active in the community as Past President of his local Rotary club, past board member of United Way and Big Brothers and Sisters. Jim and his wife Toni are active members of their church, where they serve in several ministries and Jim and his family have been on numerous mission trips to the Dominic Republic and Haiti in service to the very poor. Jim is an alumnus of the Albertus Magnus College and the University of New Haven where he earned degrees in business, accounting and finance.
